I am sure that at one time or another you have seen people gathering outside a business lining up for a photo for a ribbon cutting for new Chamber members, relocation's, remodels and ground breaking ceremonies and some of these individuals were wearing Red Coats. Or maybe you have been to a Chamber of Commerce quarterly luncheon or a Chamber Yearly Banquet and also have seen these same individuals with the Red Coats. These Ambassadors are very dedicated professional men and women who represent many local businesses around town and wear Red Coats. They are all volunteers who take time from their busy schedules to welcome new businesses into the city of Cleburne and outlying areas which at time could mean 3 or 4 times a week. They all want to insure that the new businesses start out knowing The Ambassadors are going to help them spread the word about their new endeavor. The Ambassadors want to welcome and thank the business for becoming a new Chamber Member and thank them for choosing Cleburne as the City to operate their business.

Currently the Cleburne Chamber Red Coat Ambassadors are comprised of twenty-four very dedicated members. The Ambassadors are divided into four teams with team captains. The captains are responsible for communicating the upcoming events and motivating their team.

To give you a little history on the Ambassadors Club it started back in the late 60's. At first it was a club only for men who wore gold jacket with black pants. These men were owners of their own business. One of the members, John Butner voted to allow women into the Club and also later voted to allow a representative of the business to be a Club member as well as the owner.
