About Us

Johnson County Crime Stoppers is a program which involves local law enforcement, the community and media in the fight against crime. It offers anonymity and cash rewards (up to $1,000) to persons who furnish information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of criminal offenders. Tips provided help keep our communities a safer place to live. We are a non-profit volunteer organization made up of a board of concerned citizens.

A Safe School Program is sponsored by Johnson County Crime Stoppers to provide a safe environment for learning and studying by making middle and high school campuses safer. The main goal is to prevent and solve serious crimes by providing students with cash rewards for information concerning crimes on their campus, buses and at school events. Rewards are paid to the first student to report possession of weapons, bomb threats, vandalism, possession of drugs, gang or other criminal activity on school property and the identity of the person(s).
