Laura Clanton lives in Cleburne with her husband, JC, and two daughters, Lanie (23) and Hanna (18). Lanie is getting married in July of this year, and Hannah graduates from Cleburne High School Class of 2019. Laura and JC have been married 25 years. She graduated from Covington High School in 1994 and from Hill College Nursing in 2001.
She started working for Fireside Lodge that same year as a weekend nurse and continued there until it was bought in 2006 and became Heritage Trails Nursing and Rehabilitation. She became the morning nurse Monday-Friday, then moved up to staffing coordinator/teaching the certified nursing program, wound nurse, then assistant director of nursing for 5 years. She is currently the admissions and marketing director. She loves her job working with amazing people and the best residents in the business. Laura also teaches the certified nursing assistant program at Hill College. She loves being a nurse and taking care of the ones who need it the most. “At times it is a very hard job to have when you have to explain to families why their loved one is not going to get better, but I wouldn’t change my career for anything in the world.” When Laura isn’t working, she can be found spending time with her husband and children.
